Product Description

Description

API 6A is a specification set forth by the American Petroleum Institute for oil and gas equipment. The specification covers a range of tees and crosses, which come in sizes from 2 1/16" to 4 1/16" and have a maximum service pressure rating of 2,000 psi to 15,000 psi. Common configurations include tees, 4-way, 5-way, and 6-way crosses, with custom sizes and configurations available upon request.

Studded tees and crosses are vital components of the wellhead assembly Christmas tree. They are used on the X-max tree, where an angled connection is required, and are made from solid metal blocks. The boundary dimensions, bore, and centerline-to-face dimensions must adhere to API 6A standards. These fittings are available in common configurations such as 4-way, 5-way, and 6-way crosses, as well as cells and trees with pressure ratings ranging from 2000 to 20000 psi.

Crosses and tees, studded tee and cross, studded tee, and studded cross are types of fittings that conform to the API 6A specification and are commonly used in oil and gas operations. Crosses and tees are used to connect four or more pipes or tubes at right angles and can be threaded, flanged, or welded. A cross has four openings, while a tee has three. Studded tees and crosses are similar, but with studs or bolts welded to the outside of the fitting, allowing for the attachment to other equipment like valves or manifolds.

A studded tee is a type of fitting that connects three pipes or tubes at right angles, with studs or bolts welded to the outside of the fitting, enabling it to be bolted to other equipment. Similarly, the studded cross is a fitting used to connect four pipes or tubes at right angles, also with studs or bolts welded to the outside of the fitting for easy attachment to other equipment.

These fittings are designed to withstand high pressure and temperature and are used in various applications in the oil and gas industry, such as wellheads, Christmas trees, and production equipment. They are manufactured according to strict specifications to ensure reliability and safety.
